Lomography X-Pro 200: A Dream to Cross Process

3

Lomography X-Pro 200, a film with colors that pop, is amazing for cross-processing. Whether in medium-format or 35mm, you won’t be disappointed with the colors.

As mentioned, I have the film in 35mm and medium-format. It’s one of my favorite films to cross-process in both formats. I do use it a bit sparingly, though, as I don’t have much of it around. The mixture of colors is what does it for me. Red and orange are intensified, and is mixed with a touch of green, and a crisp blue sky still always comes through!

Even in bleak weather, you can still capture some fantastic hues. I find out that the best results come out on sunny days, but maybe that has more to do with the fact that I’d much prefer to go out then!

With my Belair X 6-12 I got dazzling colors, despite the incorrect ISO setting – or maybe that was the reason for them? I exposed the film at ISO 100:

With the Lubitel, I worked with a light meter, so that the exposure is always on point:

With my Diana F+ Zebra and the new Diana Glass Lens I seemed to have overexposed the negatives. But even then, the film came out well and made for powerful and sometimes, a bit somber photos:

Here are a few more photos I took with SLR cameras. My favorites are the ones I took with the Zenitar 16mm Fisheye:

As you can all see, you get brilliant colors when you cross-process Lomography X-Pro 200 ! I can’t tell you how it looks with regular film, because I always use slide film.

And if you have never used the film before, you should definitely get on that!

Your Pearlgirl

The new Lomography X-Pro 200 is produced with the original ”Agfa RSX 200”-emulsion. If you want photos with a comparably high contrast and saturation, then this film is the one for you. You can check out more from our Lomography film selection here
