Inspired by Lomography I tried to build my very own Redscale Film. The film stock i used has been an expired Rossmann 200 I found together with the Kodak VR I used in the Rollei 35. But I underestimated the effect of ageing and I exposed the film at 100 Iso .. a little less as you can see.

I took this picture on the first serious winter hike I took. It's still one of the most difficult hikes I have undertaken (partly because I was still pretty inexperienced). It was cold and wet and then cold again. It was the first (but not the last...) time I experienced frozen shoes. There was snow, then sunshine and melding snow, then rain, then frost again. It was glorious. At one point, there was a heavy fog, and we had very bad visibility. The white mountain we were on just seemed to end into grey nothingness. There were some small trees dotted around, and they were covered in a very thin layer of frozen mist. My viewfinder was misted over, so I shot from the hip. A lucky shot, but it turned out perfect.
