Shots taken at the various sites of the Zeche Zollverein area in Essen. I haven't been there for many years and now it is more like a museum than an abandoned plant. Things change.

I absolutely love seeing people's EBS experiments and had to try it myself, but oh my goodness it went so badly it was painful. Half way through shooting the second half I gave up and took out the divider and just shot the rest of the roll as redscale. So on the plus side this is my first homemade redscale and I'm pleased with it. Surprised at the range of tones and bright orangeness in places but not bad at all. The EBS half of the film was just as much of a disaster as I thought...ah well...

On a walk in Cornwall in March to visit an ancient hillfort. I like the raggedyness of this bird, and the lens (supposedly not for analogue use) makes nice vignetting.

Shot in May, on an old expired film. I like the look of this one, after being generally a bit put off using too expired a film by some bad results. Ford park cemetery, Plymouth. One of the nicest cemeteries I've ever been to, so full of nature.

This Velvia was very old and came from an attic so I didn't expect much, but it came out surprisingly well. Because I wasn't expecting much, i just bombed through it on walks in May, this year. Porth Joke beach.

I felt like I knew her now, at least as well as one could. She was sensitive yet easy to be with, not the fickle, high maintenance girl I'd imagined. She always forgave my clumsiness. I understood that she had others, she gave her love so freely, so innocently, that I couldn't be jealous. I was happy to visit them and try and catch a glimpse of her. After all I knew, somewhere in the back of my mind, that she was as transient as life itself, and when she was gone, she would be gone forever.

Got there on a Friday afternoon 3 weekends ago. Stayed in Japantown at this funky anime style hotel called Hotel Tomo. Rested, took a walk in Japantown then walked up to Filmore Street and ended the night with a dinner with my dear friends, Lady and Francois.
