Awesome Albums: Belair Light Painting Workshop by ck_berlin

Not even the biting cold could stop LomoAmigo Christian Kretke from sketching sound waves and galactic streaks out in the streets.

One of the most fanciful things Lomographers can do with their cameras is paint with light. Christian Kretke did this with cool finesse using Belair X 6-12 City Slicker. Scan his album from January 2013 and you will find strips of light tumbling around and whipping past the cold.

With a swirl of the imagination and a trusty camera like Belair, you can tease out the warped, painterly side of photography.

The Awesome Albums series is exactly what it says on the tin — it’s a love letter of sorts from the Editors addressed to user-uploaded albums that had caught their eye and had inadvertently fallen in love with. Please understand though, they’re really just here to express their love and nothing more.
