Tell us about yourself and what you do.

Hi! My name’s Roman. I am a photographer and my basic interests are arts and music. Photography is my most favorite activity.

Tell us something about your LomoHome’s name. Why did you decide to have that username?

It’s just my real name. I’ve never really thought about it.

Share your most memorable experience in the community.

Probably, it’s when my shots became Photo of the Day. I’m always nicely surprised with that.

Have you actually met people in the Community that you now consider as close friends? If yes, name at least one of them.

Unfortunately, I didn’t meet any close friends within the Lomography community. But I knew lebedev even before I discovered the community, as well as nafamoss and nepsix.

Do you think you’ll still be taking Lomographs in the next five years? Why?

I think I definitely will. I’m fascinated by the film photography, experiments, and unforgettable moments. It is my lifestyle.

What is your favorite Lomo camera and why? Do you have any memorable experiences using this camera?

Oh, I really like LC-A. There’s nothing to say about it other than it’s a fantastic camera. My very first Lomo camera was the Sprocket Rocket, but unfortunately I almost don’t use it now. I also really like Diana F+ because it is absolutely unpredictable. You’ll never know what you’ll get!

Please share with us your favorite lomograph and explain why you love that particular image.

It’s hard to choose one because my favorite pictures are constantly changing. But I like this one because of its warmth and its feeling of spring. It also brings some good memories to me.

Please share a lomograph you wish you had taken and explain why.

This is a great picture that got me really impressed. I really like palkina's photos.

What’s the best Lomographic or photography advice you think you have given?

Forget about rules.

If there’s one song or movie that best describes your Lomo life, which one is it and why?

Videotape by Radiohead

I like this song.

Is there any advice that you can give to new analogue shooters?

Be yourself. Capture that magnificent moments of yours and feel the love. Collect photographs by other artists of the past and present. Make lots of pictures. Always bring a camera with you because you’ll never know what’s going to happen.
