Share to us your most memorable experience in the Lomographic Community.
Most memorable experience was the launch of the Lomographic Exhibition with my lecture and a master class in Kiev, Ukraine last May, together with an international team of Lomographers. We had great lomo times in Kiev. You can see it in my last year albums!
Have you actually met people in the Community that you now consider as close friends? If yes, name at least one of them.
Yes, they are the guys from Lomographic Embassy in Sankt Petersburg, Volodya Ivshin (plavaliznaem), Olya Louvetau (louvetau) and Christina Zona from SF, USA.
Do you think you’ll still be taking Lomographs in the next 5 years? Why?
It’s great fun, a way to better understand the world and to get more friends worldwide!
What is your favorite Lomo camera and why? Do you have any memorable experiences while using this camera?
It’s a tough question. I like to play with one camera for a long time (from three months to one year) until I’m switching to a new one. My first camera was a Holga, next was the Horizon Perfect and then the Diana. Now I’m shooting with a Sprocket Rocket and the La Sardina. Every camera is different. Usually, there is a lot of funny stories happening with me and my cams – people laughing at my toys, or they think that the La Sardina is a very old camera or they are suprised that film is still existing.
Is there any advice you can give to new analogue shooters?
Don’t stop shooting and don’t think!!
They are the ones whose passion transcends not only by what they do and say, but also with what they see and capture with their film cameras. And with such attributes aforementioned, they are what we call LomoGurus! Every week, we get to ask questions and reveal some insights with the most talented and productive of all Lomographers from the Community!
