No matter how frustrated, stressed or tired me and Isabel are, as soon as we travel back to Graz, where Isa's relatives are based, we both feel like home and we never want to leave. These pictures were taken at Easter, when my family joined hers for 3 days of feasts and schnapps.

What my Lomography account is named after. Here it's mounted on a Speed Graphic, for its focal plane shutter (the lens has no shutter of its own). The Aero Ektar is capable of decent sharpness, but in practice, using it is all about shallow focus. The equivalent lens for a 35mm camera would be around 50mm f/0.7 , so it's considered one of the all-time most extreme bokeh-monster lenses. #aeroektar #4x5

Taken at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton. Cheap trick with tilt, but lots of fun. (and nothing like as bad as all the hideous HDR you see these days). Ilford HP5 at its grainiest in Diafine. 4x5 Speed Graphic with the 178mm Aero Ektar, at f2.5

This is the business end of my Kodak Vigilant 620. Used a digital camera (Sony A-6000) but through an Asahi SMC MACRO-TAKUMAR 1:4/50 lens with a Van Cort Instruments "Dragonfly" held in front of it. Taken 2016/01/27.

  • A Quiet Conversation

Digital camera but classic lens. (which is why it makes sense to buy a mirrorless camera). This is a detail from the statue of Peter Pan in Bowring Park, St. John's, NL. The statue is a duplicate, commissioned from the original sculptor Sir George Frampton, of one that stands in Kensington Gardens, London. It is dedicated to Betty Munn, who was only four years old when she was lost in the wreck of the Florizel. Taken 2016/04/26.

  • The Battery, St. John's

    shared by aeroektar on 2016-05-02

Again, a classic lens on a digital camera. This is the neighbourhood I stayed in on my trip home to St. John's. My sister and her husband own the taller green house at the right, as well as the yellow one in front of it (where we stayed, and incidentally available for rent). You'd be hard pressed to find a more extraordinary neighbourhood anywhere than the Battery.

This cannon is not part of an original gun emplacement, but it's prettily situated in the Battery. Shamefully, this picture was taken with entirely modern and digital equipment.

Divertimento, sport e relax ai Giardini a Lago di Como nel mio primo rullino con la Sprocket Rocket Many thanks to this nice and pretty Polish girl who allowed me to take this series of photos! I asked to her, and again there was no problem! I explain to her that I would make a "play of words" with the camera name (sprocket) and her little feet, making a SprockFEET series! She smiles and allowed! Thanks girl, I hope that you visit this page so I can send to you these photos!
