Met this beautiful subject just by chance while driving in my town. One of the most favorite shots by redscale film. Shot with a splitzer.

Dippemess is a tradition which dates back to the 14th century. At that time, the Maamess, as it was then called, was a medieval market for domestic articles. Potters from the Westerwald, Kannebäckerland and Urberach came here to sell their wares, especially their ceramic bowls and pots. These were known in the Frankfurt dialect as 'Dippe' from which the event soon took its name. Over the years, more and more fairground booths and popular attractions joined the market as well. The Dippemess today is Frankfurt’s largest fair and a lot of fun :)

Attempted self doubles with galaxy photos with the computer screen. Unfortunately the day time photos completely wiped out the stars. But the night shots came out quite nicely. I'll have to try this again!

  • Panorama EBS at Stonehenge #1

    shared by buckshot on 2013-02-02

I woke really early and drove 100km to be at the ancient, mystical ruins of Stonehenge by sunrise. It was a frigid morning (3°C) with a bitter wind, but at least it was clear, with plenty of sunshine. I approached the 'exposing both sides' (EBS) technique the same way as described in my first panorama EBS album here: http://goo.gl/ChwbE The only difference was that I had a changing bag with me this time, so I could flip the film onsite from the redscale side (which I shot first) back to the normal side. I froze my ass off out there, but I think it was worth it for these results. Hope you like 'em too...! :-)

The mask is done with a sheet of plastic which has relief, that I burnt. The film is 100ISO and the Sprocket Rocket is designed for 400ISO so I asked for an E06 process +2 stops: it came out really over-exposed, I just saved a few pictures at the scan. The photographer told me that the film was probably old (even the theoretically non-exposed parts of the film where exposed)

Test roll of homemade redscale800 for 120. Originally Kodak Portra800. About 30 seconds exposed. Little bit under-exposed than I expected. Not so different from Lomography Redscale 50-200. Color saturation and contrast are rich enough. Will test again.

I would miss the feeling of being imersed, of being gently touched in every part of the body, of travelling in 3 dimensions, the cooling feeling of a swimming pool dip or a warm shower on a winter morning, a feeling of balance! I would miss returning to the womb whenever i want!

    shared by juliagulia on 2011-02-03

so, snowboarind is like, you wake up early in the morning, so you can get to the hills as soon as possible. You breath in that fresh air, and you feel so alive! You snowboard all day, and you don't even feel exhausted becouse, you enjoy yourself. Than some vodka feige would be drinked, and omg, its already 4pm! so the slopes would close... you have to go home:( but when you get there, you'd feel so tired, you couldn't even do anything else than sleep. and when you wake up, everything continuoues! thats snowboarding

These photos were taken by me in 2001, the amazing industrial object - the ruins of the incinerator, which has not was finished (construction banned Greenpeace). On this place I linked is very good, full of exciting and extreme memories, as we have been here often with friends. This plant we called FWL (it was written on wall). I amazed it energy and power!!!
