Before Chicago, my journey started with a 42 hour train ride aboard Amtrak"s Southwest Chief. The train ride passed through 8 states and I spent two nights there. I also spent Thanksgiving on the train- it was a bit sad to be far from family on that day but it was nice spending it with strangers, fellow travelers and hearing their stories. I did not take as many photos as I planned coz sometimes you get caught in the moment that you simply forget. Here are some that I took.

I shot the first part, a full roll of textures in Barcelona. Then she shot the silhouettes in Taipei. We realized they didn't come out as we thought they would but we both fell in love with the results. Another WIN for happy accidents! ¡Otro gran accidente feliz! Second roll of my collaboration with James Butler, aka Slimmer Jimmer. I shot the first pass on my Olympus OM10, and James shot the second pass on his Lomo LC-Wide. See more of James' fantastic photographs on his flickr stream: http://www.flickr.com/photos/slimjim/

Exposing both sides of the film (EBS). I shot on correct(normal) side first in a sunny/bright day, at ISO400(ISO800 film inside). Below half of the lense was masked with a splitzer. After finished a roll, reverse the film (in a dark-room). Then start shooting on redscale side in a cloudy/rainy day, at ISO200. Upper half was masked with a splitzer. The order of each location is precisely the same as 1st shots. I took notes in details about locations and shot all places with iPhone, to remember locations. Need patience, concentration, and accuracy for this challenge. Plus must be careful with 'gaps' between frames. Have a look at my article about this technique: http://www.lomography.com/magazine/tipster/2013/01/14/tipster-how-to-take-symmetrical-images-with-exposing-both-sides-of-the-film-ebs

My second attempt with taking double exposures with the Hasselblad. This time I used the Lomo 100 ISO and a roll of Kodak Ektachrome 64 (expired 2007).

I'm not a big fan of the lomography x-pro slide 200...too green and yellowy. Also my canon ae-1's shutter isn't working normally, i have to press several times for it to fire. So I bought a new canon ae-1 program body !

    shared by bloomchen on 2013-09-18

i now shot 4 or 5 rolls (about 150 shots) with this cam but only got few sharp/crisp pictures. - less than 40%. this roll is OK compared to the ones before. but having a look at the LC-W photo collection of LSI i have to say that even my sharpest shot is far from being as sharp as the ones shown there. pretty often there is such a blurry unsharp soup on the pics. i even tested the cam with an inch rule and did only get one crisp shot with the exact setting. take a look at the last shot of the album: there are several layers and one of them has to be sharp due to the settings. but no.

    shared by herbert-4 on 2013-09-18

Some random photos with Lomochrome Purple 400, shot at ISO 200. Came out grainy, contrasty, blue hazy vague on some, and rather Smurfy on others. Not sure I like these. Need more experimentation...
