meine lieder * udo jürgens

this is another experiment with doubles using graphics of the mexican engraver josé guadalupe posada. the graphics are from a book (posada - mexican engraver) i once bought in one of my favourite bookstores in barcelona (ras). first time i used this with illustrations of the childs book the jungle book (www.lomography.com/homes/bloomchen/albums/1785569-the-jungl…) and promised more to come. this time i did doubles with record covers i chose out of my vinyl collection. i should add: don´t wonder about the udo jürgens disc because it´s just in my collection for other reasons than the music.
i did the 2nd layer (graphics) with a makro lens i hold in front of my camera and this is why some are out of focus. it´s pretty hard to get it done good that way and so the first layer, too seems to be out of focus which wasn´t the case. so i guess i need to buy me a good lens to do such kinda pics in a more pro way.

I collect figurines inspired by Posada.

@emperornorton: scary ones like skulls or what do they look like. i mean the book is full of strange things but a lot of it is like taking a picture of a scenario.

I'm very fond of his Mexican Revolution caricatures and his Day of the Dead material.
