Vicuna's Travel Stories | Burkina Faso: The Land of Upright People
written by vicuna on 2015-09-30When someone asks me why I love Burkina Faso so much and what's so special about it, I answer without any hesitation: the people. There's something in this country that connects the people together very strongly. Here, foreign visitors are warmly welcomed. And honestly, I think that the portraits I'm most proud of and that I really love are those shot in Burkina Faso. "Why," you ask?

Vicuna's Travel Stories | Sunrise in the Desert
written by vicuna on 2015-09-16 #placesBurkina Faso is a country that has three different climatic areas. It's mostly a land of the Sahel, very dry but with some vegetation and a short rainy season. The very south of the country is already in the tropical zone but the north still belongs to the Sahara desert. I had the opportunity to visit this area and witness a magical moment: a sunrise in the desert.

Belairgon 114mm Lens: Give Your Belair the Lens it Deserves
written by vicuna on 2013-06-19 #gearThe Belair 6x12 camera is truly a surprising and beautiful camera. The 2 lenses that come with the camera are made out of plastic, and even if Lomographers are used to plastic lenses, I had the impression that something was missing for achieving great shots with the Belair 6x12. And then appeared the word "Belairgon": 2 brand new 90mm and 114mm glass lenses made specially for the Belair 6x12 camera. I knew that I found what I was looking for!

My 2011 in Analogue: An Eye's View
written by vicuna on 2011-12-28It's always an incredible sensation to come to the end of the year and realize that 12 months have passed so quickly. Time flies by, but we lomographers have a great chance: we shoot our lives at every moment, and have the possibility to look at the past year through our photos and travel in time. But this also needs to make a selection, of some moments and some pictures in a very subjective way (but memories are subjective anyways) and thus, my analogue year selection isn't detailed, neither per month nor of what I did during these 12 months, but just picked up some moments and pictures I liked of 2011.
